Offices
Haywards Heath
Land adjoining Haywards Heath Station-having pieced together 9 separate commercial office buildings this circa 2 acre site was able to accommodate up to 135,000 sqft gross of B1 offices in what is the towns prime office pitch. Under permitted development rights this site attracted the interest of residential developers and was sold unconditionally with planning subsequently secured for circa 145 flats and commercial space at ground and part first floors

Fairbridge Way Burgess Hill Sussex
GDL act as Development and Asset Manager for Fairbridge Developments Ltd. This former sewage treatment work of over 30 acres, closed in 1992, was originally allocated for employment uses. Demand for housing has outstripped employment need in this immediate area and after various attempts to resolve planning and redevelopment options an outline for 325 houses/units was granted in 2014. Since this time we have sought and secured technical approval to both S278 and S38 undertaken the site wide remediation works and are now implementing all road, drainage and site servicing to delivery 3 oven ready serviced plots to go to the market in autumn for sale in whole or part

The Team
Colin Whelan Director
A founding partner of GDL alongside Chris Kelly. Colin’s formative years were spent with Stiles Harold Williams in their Crawley and London office serving developer clients in the south east and throughout the UK. Following 4 years with Simons Estates Glenbeigh Developments was formed. Colin’s focus is on south east development and investment opportunities primarily for commercial but also mixed use or pure residential.

Chris Kelly
A founding partner of GDL alongside Colin Whelan. Chris’s formative years were spent with Barclays Bank and Homebase and thereafter 9 years heading Simons Estates London office before forming GDL. Chris’s early focus was on retail and mixed use schemes and more latterly larger industrial and employment parks in our target area of Kent to Dorset outside the M25
